Paul Kurt Bartzsch was mainly a painter and graphic artist who was born in Dresden and worked in Wolfsburg.
The name of the motif is ‘Škrlatica’, a mountain in the Julian Alps, it is monogrammed in the plate with ‘PKB’ and dated 1954.
A descendant of Bartzsch runs the Instagram account @paul_kurt_bartzsch in his memory.
