I’ve found a colour woodcut by an unknown artist…
The picture shows a log cabin with small windows on a slope in a hilly landscape. A large deciduous tree towers above the house; it is this tree in particular that has slightly expressionist features.
The title of the print is “Am Hang”; it is designated as an O.-H. (original woodcut) and is signed “Jos. Winkelmann”.
Unfortunately, no further information about “Jos. Winkelmann” has yet been found.
